IBIZA SWIM WEEK - TERCERA EDICIÓN

The Ibiza Swim Week swimwear runway returned to the White Isle from June 8 to 10 with two major developments that further strengthen its presence: a collaboration with the Ibiza Town Council, which supports industry and commerce on the island, and a partnership with Miami Swim Week The Shows, alongside the attendance of its CEO, Sean Rashid. This international platform, a pioneer in swimwear and the largest of its kind in the world, recognizes ISW as a leading European hub for swimwear fashion. Over the course of three days, the platform hosted brand pop-ups, activations, and runway shows featuring participating labels from different parts of the world.

Hotel La Torre del Canónigo, located in Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, hosted this year’s runway show. Meanwhile, Aguas de Ibiza Hotel, a luxury destination in the heart of Santa Eulària and one of Spain’s first barefoot-certified hotels, strengthened its role as one of the platform’s flagship venues by hosting pop-ups and talks as part of the initiative, which highlights the importance of the swimwear industry.

The swimwear sector continues to experience strong growth, generating nearly $23 billion globally in 2025, driven by the rise of tourism, resort aesthetics, sports, and increasing summer-related consumer spending.

Originally launched three years ago in the Mediterranean after being inspired by the internationally renowned swimwear capitals of Miami and New York, Ibiza Swim Week aims to position Ibiza as Europe’s leading swimwear destination. The event continues to grow in visibility each year and now benefits from the support of both Ibiza Town Council and Miami Swim Week The Shows.

An Expanding Agenda: From Paris and Miami to Ibiza

In its third edition, the platform has continued to grow, beginning with an opening event on June 21 at Eidiko Showroom in Paris, featuring a runway presentation and a private sale showcasing selected participating brands.

On June 8, the platform arrived in Ibiza with “The Summer Edit,” hosted at Aguas de Ibiza Hotel. The event connected brands with the public, buyers, and suppliers, while also offering expert masterclasses, including a beauty session led by makeup artist Mary Dego.

On May 27, Miami Swim Week The Shows hosted the official presentation of Ibiza Swim Week in Miami. The event serves as an international bridge between both fashion platforms and was supported by TV host Lucía Ugarte, who also hosted the Ibiza event.

On June 9, the runway show took place across different segments at Hotel La Torre del Canónigo, followed by an After Party organized in collaboration with Miami Swim Week The Shows and supported by Ritma Rentals.

On June 10, the event concluded with a dedicated content creation day for participating brands at Bonito Ibiza and aboard White Island Classics, in collaboration with Vanessium, further reinforcing Ibiza’s position as a premier backdrop for swimwear fashion.

“From the very first time I participated in New York and Miami Swim Week, I knew I wanted to bring this format to Ibiza. In Europe, it is the destination that perfectly embodies the importance of swimwear fashion. It offers excellent connections with the rest of the world and provides the ideal setting to host platforms that give visibility to a growing sector such as swimwear,” explains designer and entrepreneur Nía Vásquez, founder of the project.

The brands participating in this third edition were:

Cocora (Ibiza), Lucini London (UK), Castaway Reef (UK), Thatcher Attire (South Africa), Princess (Brazil), Maison Nura (Spain), Acquadicoco (Italy), Par Mirage (UK), Sajara Lozano (Spain), Conny Beachwear (Italy), Bora Adore (France), May Rose (France), and Bikiswim (France).

Nía Vásquez: From Céline’s Influence to Bespoke Swimwear Couture

Influenced from childhood by Julian Neale, a designer at Céline and the partner of one of her closest family members, the entrepreneur’s fascination with fashion dates back to some of her earliest memories.

With a background in Business Administration, Management and Marketing, she later specialized in the fields of fashion and luxury.

Within the industry, she has worked at Madrid and Paris Fashion Weeks alongside stylists such as Omaima Salem, known for some of the most prestigious campaigns for brands including Jacquemus. She was also among the first digital influence pioneers in Spain, helping to shape the rise of influencer marketing formats.
